The flags that fly over the fallen firefighter's memorial are dislayed on 7 flagpoles that were donated by Mr Rosey Velez. Mr Velez is a retired New York City Emergency Responder who was involved in the rescue and recovery efforts at the World Trade Center 9-11-01.)

The flags that fly over the fallen fire fighter's memorial are replaced every quarter through a grant from the estate of WWII Corporal R F “Rocky” Durso. These flags are changed quarterly to keep them fresh and crisp to match the voluntary patriotic spirit that Corporal Durso admired so much in the outstanding young men and women who serve in today’s armed services.
