2018 Scholarship Recipients
Graduated June 8th, 2018 from South Brunswick High School with a 3.8 GPA and was active in volleyball and softball for South Brunswick all four years of high school. June 8th of 2018. She was a student athlete that taught her time management, leadership, and other valuable lessons. She will continue her academic and athletic career at Brevard College in the fall of 2018. She will be studying Criminal Justice and forensics while at Brevard. Her long term goal is to become part of the FBI and fulfil my dream of being a criminal profiler.
A 2016 Graduate of Newark Catholic High School, in Newark, Ohio. He is currently attending Kent State University and will be a junior in the fall of 2018, majoring in Nursing. He is the son of Michael and Kelly Davis, of Newark, Ohio. His father is the retired Assistant Fire Chief with the Defense Logistics Agency in Columbus, Ohio, and has 35 years as a Federal Firefighter. Hunter was very active during his high school years at Newark Catholic, participating in Football, Track, and Baseball, along with a number of clubs and National Honor Society. He participated in Air Force ROTC at Kent State University and was on the Dean’s List both Fall and Spring semesters of his freshman and sophomore years.
From Fredericksburgs, Virginia and will be a 2018 graduate from Massaponax High School. She will be pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in International Studies at the Virginia Military Institute where she will be on a commissioning track with the U. S. Army. Her father, Daniel Wedding, is a 20 year firefighter with the Fire & Emergency Services Division at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. Her mother, Melissa Wedding, served in the U. S. Army National Guard as a combat medic.
Graduated from Camden County High School in 2015, She is preparing for her Junior year at Ogeechee Technical Institute in Statesboro, Georgia. She has recently been accepted to the Sonography Program at Ogeechee Tech and will begin her course of study in the Fall of 2018. She feels that being reliable and honest are two very important values to her.
The son of Air Force firefighter Dwayne Jackson, currently stationed at Dover Air Force Base. In high school, Eli was active in Air Force JROTC, National Honor Society, and STEMS club. He balanced many advanced academic courses, numerous community service projects, and a part-time job. This year, as a second -year student at New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, Eli will continue pursuing his degree in Mechanical Engineering while serving as a resident assistant, as well as outreach projects with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers
